James Deane “Dixie”

I came to Goldings from Shotley Park.
My trade to start with was as a shoemaker but shortly after changed my trade
to become a Carpenter.
My junior house was Kinnaird, and was also a prefect.
I was always was keen on sport and was a member of Bob Newton’s Gym Team,
also taking part in most sports Boxing and Football, receiving a medal for Minor
Cup Final under 16s.
I also went to Wimbledon as Ball Boy on Centre Court.
